Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey has hit back at critics of the constabulary, who are said to be undermining the work of the police.

Speaking at a Jamaica Constabulary Force press briefing on Tuesday, DCP bailey said he is aware of claims which depict cops as being incompetent.

According to DCP Bailey, the critic highlighted a number of seizures by the police but pointed out that there has been no arrest.

He said the individual also appeared uninterested in seizures, and instead wanted to see immediate results as it relates to arrest and charges.

DCP Bailey said the real life work of the security forces, is different from fiction.

He sought to highlight that gun seizures over the years have resulted in persons being arrested and charged.
