St Mary farmers urged to implement anti-theft measures
The St. Mary police are urging farmers to implement measures that will help prevent theft of their animals.
These measures include using dogs as guards and warning alarm system, installing CCTV cameras and de-bushing the area around pens.
The farmers are also being reminded that their animals should be marked or tagged.
Another reminder is that farmers should keep up to date records, of their livestock.
This comes in the wake of the recovery of 5 goats that been stolen, from a farm, in Pembroke Hall, yesterday.
Reports are that about 6:30 p.m. the police acted on a report and went to the area, where the goats were found.
A search has been launched for the praedial thieves.
Following due diligence checks, the affected farmer identified and reclaimed the goats.
