The male lead pastor of an alleged religious cult based in St. Catherine is under investigation for the reported kidnapping of a teen girl from Clarendon last week.

The girl’s aunt is also alleged to be the mastermind of the kidnapping.

13 year old Zaynah Shaw, a student of Glenmuir High School, went missing on April 7.

It’s reported that when the mother went to the bedroom to wake up Zaynah so that she could start getting ready for school, the room was empty.

Frantic searches proved futile and a public appeal was made for help in locating the girl.

Cops, acting on information, reportedly found the girl at a premises, in Ewarton, yesterday.

Head of the National Strategic Anti-Gang Division, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Susan Bruce said investigators theorise that Zaynah, and other girls, had been kidnapped by members of a cult and hidden at the premises.
