A man who had been listed as a person of interest by the St. James Police was fatally shot by a joint police team, in Mason Hall, St. Mary this morning. 

Dead is Odane Barrett, also known as ‘Jungle’, of Bird Hill, Meggie Top in Salt Spring, St. James. 

Assistant Commissioner of Police for Area One, Clifford Chambers said Barrett was being sought in relation to a recent double murder, that ignited a major feud in the Salt Spring area.

ACP Chambers said the police will intensify operations to bring to justice persons who contribute to violence and instability in the parish.
