The St Catherine Municipal Corporation intends to convert an empty plot of land, in Brunswick, Spanish Town, into a parking lot, as part of efforts to reduce traffic congestion.

Mayor of Spanish Town, Norman Scott, made the comment, while addressing the opening ceremony for the new island grill outlet, at the Brunswick Village, on Wednesday.

He said the corporation will partner with some corporate companies, to have the parking lot established.

Mayor Scott added that the corporation will be re-erecting signs along some roadways in the area, indicating where motorists can park their vehicles.
