Acting Head of the Area One Police, Senior Superintendent Glenford Miller and another member were reportedly fired on by gunmen in St. James last evening. 

None of the officers was wounded during the incident.

Police say the incident occurred around 9:13 P.M., on Kent Avenue, Ironshore. 

Reports say SSP Miller and his team pulled over a vehicle and were fired on by the occupants. 

The gunfire was returned and the occupants sped away. 

An investigation has been launched into the incident.
