Some teachers remain anxious about the payment of this month’s salaries, after the Education Ministry indicated it has encountered delays.

The ministry said yesterday, that it was working assiduously to have the salaries reflected in the respective accounts of school staff by today.

Irie FM News understands, that some teachers are reporting anomalies in their salaries, based on information the ministry had uploaded, via the my HR Plus application.

The teachers want their union to address this matter in short order.

Earlier this week, the Education Ministry said it was working to ensure that all teachers, principals and vice principals  get their retroactive money, as well as their new  salary, by today.

It also noted that given the magnitude of the process to accurately convert, calculate, approve and upload the retroactive monies and new salaries, in collaboration with the finance ministry, it was  unable to meet the previously stated dates for payment.
