Shericka Jackson to star in new Netflix ‘Sprint’ docu-series on the world’s fastest humans

Double world 200 metre champion Shericka Jackson will feature in a new sports docu-series produced by American streaming platform Netflix.

Titled ‘Sprint’ the documentary series takes an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at top athletes and delves deep into the psyche of elite competitors who train to be the fastest person on the planet.

Created by production company Box to Box Films (makers of Formula 1: Dare to Survive, Break Point, and Olympic Channel), the series will premiere in July – ahead of the Paris Olympics which is scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11.

Season 1 will include a behind-the-scenes look at Jackson, the fastest woman alive in the 200m event and followed her progress at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest where she successfully defended her title won in Eugene, Oregon in 2022.

Other elite athletes to be featured in Season 1 includes American Noah Lyles and Sha’Carri Richardson, the reigning men’s and women’s world 100 metre champions.

For Season 2, Netflix through its partnership with the International Olympic Committee will follow the top sprinters in the lead-up and at the Paris Olympics.

Other athletes from Jamaica, United States, United Kingdom, Ivory Coast, Kenya, and Italy will also be featured.
