Shamera Sterling-Humphrey among six Jamaicans in action this weekend in Suncorp Super Netball League

Reigning MVP Shamera Sterling-Humphrey and superstar shooter Jahaniele Fowler-Nembhard headline a group of six Jamaicans spread across two teams…..Adelaide Thunderbirds and West Coast Fever….who will be in action tonight Jamaica time as action gets underway in round 2 of the Suncorp Super Netball League in Australia.

Sterling-Humphrey…..who won the player of the week award for week one….. will suit up alongside Latanya Wilson and Romelda Aiken-George for the defending champions Thunderbirds who play away to the Melbourne Vixens at John Cain Arena.

Both teams are unbeaten with the Thunderbirds notching a 63-62 win over Queensland firebirds in the opening week while the Vixens were 68-61 winners over Melbourne Mavericks.

Fowler-Nembhard meanwhile will take centre-court alongside fellow sunshine girls Shanice Beckford and Kadie-Ann Dehaney for the West Coast fever who entertain the Sunshine Coast Lightning at RAC Arena in Perth.

The Fever opened their campaign with a one-sided 84-65 thrashing of the Giants Netball team led by Fowler Nembhard who had a dominant 64 goals from 64 shots.

Also in action in round one will be defender Jodi-Ann Ward for the giants Netball team who are away to the Queensland Firebirds at Nissan Arena and Shimona Nelson who will suit up for the Melbourne Mavericks who will be in action tomorrow away at NSW Swifts at the Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney.
