Restorative Justice Programme to be extended to Kingston Technical High, following fatal stabbing of student
Education Minister Fayval Williams says the Restorative Justice Programme will be extended to the Kingston Technical High School to help students deal with the various issues they face.
The move follows the stabbing death of fifth former 17 year old Michion Campbell at the school last Thursday (September 29).
The alleged attacker is in custody.
The minister who visited the school this morning (October 3), told students there are other ways to interact and have peace.
She noted that psychosocial support will be provided for students and especially those who witnessed the fatal stabbing.
The Minister said the ministry will also make contact with the families of the two students who were involved in the altercation.
Ms. Williams also urged persons not to blame the school community for the incident.
