Relatives to be relocated following Kelsey Ferrigon’s murder-PM Holness
Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness says provisions will be made to have the family of 9-year-old Kelsey Ferrigon relocated following her murder.
Speaking during a visit to the family yesterday in Spanish Town St. Catherine, the Prime Minister said he understands that living in the house where her body was found can be emotionally challenging.
As a result, the Prime Minister said he will work with the Member of Parliament to have the family relocated.
He noted that the family will also receive help with the funeral and counselling.
Kelsey’s body was found in a barrel at her home on Friday.
A 2 million dollar reward was offered by the government for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.
30-year-old Giovanni Ellis was then named as a person of interest in relation to the incident.
He was fatally shot during a confrontation with the police today.
