Reggae Boys narrow 3-2 win ovre Dominica blame it on the pitch and offciating – John Waul

Reggae boyz Assistant Coach John Wall says a lack of composure, the state of the pitch and questionable officiating played a role in the team surrendering a three-goal advantage before ultimately holding on for a scrappy 3-2 win in their World Cup qualifier against Dominica at Windsor Park yesterday.

The Reggae Boyz, thanks to two goals by Shamar Nicholson and one from Kaheim Dixon, took a 3-nil lead after 80 minutes and seemed destined to secure a routine result.

However, they were made to sweat when the Dominicans hit back twice through Javid George in the 83rd and Troy Jules who scored a spectacular free kick a minute from time after a foul by Michael Hector on the edge of the penalty area.

Speaking after the game wall said the result was better than the performance.

The Jamaicans with the result joined Guatemala at the top of group ‘E’ on maximum six points from two games.

They now turn their attention to the Copa America which gets underway on June 20.

The squad will be announced on Wednesday.
