Prime Minister Andrew Holness said the glorification of guns is an issue that needs to be addressed.

Mr Holness made the comment while visiting the Chetwood Memorial Primary School in St James yesterday, following the killing of two students on Monday.

The 2 boys and a man were shot dead by an assailant armed with a high powered weapon.

The Prime Minister said while efforts are being made to stem the trafficking of illegal guns, the obsession with firearms must also be stopped.

Mr. Holness said the overall issue of violence can be addressed through various methods including, bringing the social conscience to bear.
