Prime minister Andrew Holness is calling on every Jamaican to be a hero.
His call comes as the country commemorates National Heroes Day, which is being celebrated today.
For his part, Opposition Leader, Mark Golding is calling on the relevant authorities, to ensure they live up to the ideals the heroes fought for.
