Jamaican-American attorney and humanitarian to be honoured with Parkland City proclamation on Wednesday
Jamaican-American attorney and humanitarian, Kaysia Earley, says she is grateful to be honoured by the city of Parkland, Florida, in the United States, with a Juneteenth Proclamation.
The formal recognition, which will be presented by Mayor Richard Walker and the City of Parkland Commission at Parkland City Hall on Wednesday, is in celebration of Ms. Earley’s commitment to justice, humanitarian service, education, and community empowerment.
This is as she carries out mentorship efforts in the Jamaican Diaspora.
Ms. Earley noted that the Juneteenth Proclamation shines the spotlight on her non-profit organisation, Seeds of Manna, through which many Jamaicans have benefited.
She said that relief efforts have intensified in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, which devastated the country last October.
