Police yet to make breakthrough in attempted murder of 8 year old

Police are yet to make a break through in Thursday’s incident, which left an 8 year old girl battling for life in hospital, after her throat was slashed.

 

It’s reported that the student of Braeton Primary in Portmore St Catherine, went missing on Thursday afternoon.

 

She was then left for dead in Kingston after her throat was slashed.

 

She was found by a resident who rushed her to hospital.

 

The child has since undergone surgery.

Speaking to Irie Fm news on Friday morning, head of the police’s Corporate Communications Unit, Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay said the police are still trying to find out the person or persons involved.

 

She said the child is in critical condition at hospital.

 

 

Meantime, the police are at the Braeton Primary School as investigations are ongoing.

 

It is not yet clear how the child was abducted.
