Police urge students not to use community WiFi in Lawrence Tavern for scamming
The police are urging students not to use the newly installed community wi-fi in Lawrence Tavern, St. Andrew to engage in lottery scamming and other unscrupulous activities.
The call was made by inspector Sherene Greaves who was speaking on behalf of superintendent of the St. Andrew North Police Division, Sherika Service, at the wifi launch on Monday.
Inspector Greaves urged students in attendance to use the wifi connection for productive work.
She warned that if students use the internet to engage in cyber crimes, such as cyber bullying they will be charged.
