National Security Minister, Dr. Horace Chang says the new rugged e-ticketing handsets and printers handed over to the Jamaica Constabulary Force will enhance road safety and public order.

He handed over 3000 devices at the Public Safety Traffic Enforcement Branch Headquarters in Kingston yesterday.

Speaking to IRIE-FM NEWS Dr Chang said the transition to electronic ticketing is a significant progress, as he underscored the Government’s commitment to staying ahead of the curve.

The Minister further stated that the handheld devices will further expand the e-ticketing programme and enhance the capabilities of the JCF to address public order issues.
