Two people were shot and killed in Bluefields, Westmoreland today.

Dead are 34-year-old taxi operator Eucal Dwyer of New Works and Patricia Stewart, a farmer of Bog District Bluefields, both in the parish.

Reports are that sometime around midday, the two were pounced upon and shot by gunmen.

They were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
