Police investigating fire at the Retirement Disposal site in St. James
The police are conducting investigations after a fire suspected to be the work of arsonists, erupted at the Retirement Disposal Facility in St. James, last night (December 18).
Three units from the Jamaica Fire Brigade responded to the fire and work continues to tackle the blaze.
Executive Director of the National Solid Waste Management Authority, NSWMA, Audley Gordon, told Irie FM News that he believes the dump was intentionally set ablaze due to several reasons.
He said as a result, the police are probing the incident.
