Police identify a second person of interest in St. James triple murder
The St. James police have named a second person of interest in relation to a triple murder in Canterbury, Montego bay, yesterday.
He is Kasheem Lewis.
This morning, the police named John Lee Roach as the first person of interest.
Head of the St. James police, Superintendent Eron Samuels said Roach escaped in a gully in the community after a confrontation with lawmen.
Both Lewis and Roach are being sought in relation to the killing of 3 males, including a teenager.
Dead are 17-year-old Jaydon Bennett of Upper King Street, in Montego Bay, 26-year-old Rashaun Williams and 62-year-old fisherman David West, also of Upper King Street.
Reports are that at about 5:05 PM, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area.
Upon arrival, the police came under gun fire and took evasive action.
The gunman reportedly escaped in a gully, leaving behind two firearms.
Police seized the weapons and conducted a search of the area, where Jaydon, Williams and West were found suffering from gunshot wounds.
The males were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
