General Secretary of the People’s National Party (PNP) Dr. Dayton Campbell says polls show that the party is leading in 12 of the 14 municipal corporations.

Speaking during a PNP press conference yesterday, Dr. Campbell expressed confidence that the party will win the local government elections due by the end of February.

He said preparations are underway.

According to the General Secretary, there is speculation that the election could be postponed once again.

He said if this is true, it indicates that the ruling Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) is not confident it will win.
