Over $300M worth of counterfeit goods seized in Kingston, yesterday

Two people were taken into custody in relation to the seizure of more than 300 million dollars worth of counterfeit goods from a wholesale on Princess Street in Downtown Kingston, yesterday (June 8).

The goods were seized during an operation carried out by a team from the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigations Branch, CTOC.

Among the goods seized were fake engine oil, Crocs footwear and Nike items.

Assistant Superintendent at CTOC, Victor Barrett, noted that a report from a brand rights holder led to the operation at the store.

He detailed some of the counterfeit items seized.

ASP Barrett noted the dangers of some of the counterfeit items seized.
