Opposition calls on JPS to restore power to affected areas, quickly
The Opposition is urging the Jamaica Public Service JPS to redouble its efforts to restore power to customers still affected by an outage caused by the impacts of Hurricane Beryl.
Among those still impacted are some customers in St. Ann, St. Mary, Westmoreland, St. Elizabeth, Clarendon, Manchester, Hanover, St. Andrew, and St. Catherine.
Irie FM News understands that power was restored to sections of Trelawny and St. James, last night.
In a statement this morning, Opposition Spokesman on Energy, Phillip Paulwell praised the hard-working JPS staff, but urged them to work relentlessly towards expediting the restoration process.
