The National Water Commission, NWC, workers who called in sick on Thursday are back on the job.

It’s understood that the workers were restive over a number of issues including how retroactive payments are being made.

Reports are that the sick out occurred among maintenance workers.

A representative of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union, one of the unions representing the NWC workers gave the confirmation on Friday morning.

He said the meeting which should have taken place on Friday with the unions representing the workers and the NWC has been postponed until next Tuesday.
