The National Water Commission, NWC says it has rectified a sewage water issue along Collie Smith Drive in Trench Town, St. Andrew.

Residents and business operators in the community had called for the issue which they said began on Saturday to be addressed.

They noted that it posed a challenge to business operations and people’s health.

Providing an update to Irie FM News this morning, NWC’s Acting Corporate Public Relations Manager, Delano Williams said the issue was rectified.

He is encouraging persons to use any of the commission’s channels to report these incidents so a prompt and effective response can be provided.
