NWA urges caution as Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for some parishes
The National Works Agency, NWA is urging persons to be cautious when navigating areas prone to flooding.
This as a flash flood warning remains in effect for some parishes.
Following heavy rainfall, yesterday (September 30), low lying and flood-prone areas of St. Mary, Portland, St. Thomas, Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Catherine, Clarendon and Manchester, have been placed under the warning until 5 p–m today (October 1).
Speaking with Irie FM News, Communication and Customer Services Manager, at the NWA, Stephen Shaw said while there has been no report of flooding today, pedestrians and motorists, should still exercise caution.
He said the Bog Walk Gorge in St. Catherine, which was closed yesterday due to flooding, has been re–opened.
