No sign of Covid-19 increase in parish, says St Ann Health Inspector
Amid fears about a rapid increase in Covid-19 cases across the island, Chief Public Health Inspector for St Ann, Leroy Scott has assured residents that the parish has not seen an increase in Covid-19 cases.
Mr. Scott gave this assurance while responding to concerns by councillors attending the general monthly meeting of the St Ann Municipal Corporation.
Some councillors had complained to Mr. Scott that there were people in their divisions who felt that Covid-19 was again on the rise.
But according to Mr. Scott, there is no indication of an increase in the cases or patients turning up to be tested for the virus.
Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton has indicated that there has been an islandwide increase in Covid-19 cases but has called on residents not to panic.
