Nigy Boy makes donation to Alma Mater

Reggae Sumfest organizer and CEO of Downsound Records, Josef Bogdanovich has announced that visually impaired Dancehall rising star Nigy Boy has been added to the 2024 staging of the annual music festival.

Bogdanovich announced yesterday (FEB 15) at a welcome event in Montego Bay for the ‘Continent Boss’, which marked his return to the island following his musical success.

Among those in attendance were the Deputy Mayor, the Regional Director of the Jamaica Tourist Board, and the media.

Nigy Boy scored a hit with ‘Continent’ on Rvssian’s Dutty Money Riddim, a remake of his 2009 Go Go Riddim.

This morning (Feb 16), the fast-rising Dancehall sensation, who is a past student of the Salvation Army for the Blind, handed over a cash donation and delivered a pep talk to the students.

In a Music News interview today, Nigy Boy explains that it was a humbling, but exciting feeling to return to the institution that molded him.

Tune into IRIE FM’s WTS615 edition tomorrow (Feb 17) for Nigy Boy’s live performance.
