Nation’s leaders urge citizens to embrace peace and kindness, this Christmas
As Jamaicans celebrate the Christmas holiday, the nation’s leaders are urging citizens to embrace peace and kindness.
In his Christmas message, Governor General Sir Patrick Allen said Jamaicans should remember that the birth of Christ, peace, love and hope are the reasons for the season.
And while acknowledging that Jamaica continues to face challenges including crime, Prime Minister Andrew Holness reminded citizens of God’s role in helping persons find peace.
Meantime, Opposition Leader Mark Golding said Jamaicans should not only pray for national peace, but also world peace.
