Mitchell Marsh returns to Australia to treat a partial tear in his right hamstring

Delhi Capitals all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has returned to Australia to treat a partial tear in his right hamstring.

Marsh, who is set to be named Australia’s captain for the upcoming T/20 World Cup, was recalled by Cricket Australia after consultations with the IPL team.

It has been learned that a final decision on whether marsh would be withdrawn totally from IPL 2024 has not been taken yet.

Meanwhile, marsh has been carefully managed by Cricket Australia,  over the last 12 months since returning to being a three-format player, culminating in him winning the Allan Border medal as Australia’s best men’s player of the year for 2023.

Delhi capital’s next match is on April 17 against Gujarat Titans – they are currently on four points after six games.
