Manchester records 3 murders and a suspected suicide, just 3 days into the new year
Just three days into the new year, Manchester has already recorded 3 murders and a suspected suicide.
One incident occurred in Providence and the other on Bonnitto Crescent in Mandeville.
The Manchester Police are now at the scene of the latest incident on Bonnitto Crescent, where the bodies of two people were found in a house.
Irie FM News understands that the two were a couple and that a missing person’s report was filed with the police today (January 3) after the wife did not turn up to work.
Police say when they arrived at the scene, the woman was found with a wound to her forehead and the man was found hanging from a scaffold at the couple’s house.
Irie FM News understands that the husband was a taxi operator.
His colleagues gave a description of the couple.
Meantime, the police are probing the suspected murder of a woman and her son in Providence, also in Manchester.
The bodies of 52-year-old bartender Althea Rowe and her son 35-year-old Cleon Palmer, were found around 11 this morning, with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
They were discovered after relatives turned up at Palmer’s house due to unsuccessful efforts to contact them.
Doreen Rowe, sister and aunt of the deceased, told Irie FM News that her sister was visiting Palmer at the time of the incident.
