Manchester police probing two separate gas station robberies in less than 24 hours
The police have launched a manhunt, for a gunman who was reportedly shot by a licensed firearm holder, during a robbery at a gas station in Cross Keys, South Manchester, this afternoon (December 7).
Preliminary reports are that about 3 pm, several gunmen allegedly held up the establishment, and one was shot by the licensed firearm holder, who intervened.
A shootout ensued and the licensed firearm holder was also shot.
The gunmen fled the scene, while the licensed firearm holder was taken to hospital.
Police have increased their presence in the area in search of the gunman.
This is the second gas station robbery in the parish in less than 24 hours.
Last evening (December 6), a service station in Knockpatrick was held up and occupants were robbed of several items including cellular phones and cash.
