Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw omitted from Reggae Girlz sqaud to face France
Reigning English Super League player of the year Khadija Bunny’ Shaw is a notable absentee in Jamaica’s Reggae Girls sqaud who will face France in a friendly international next Friday at the Stade Auguste Bonal in Eastern France.
Shaw who picked up an injury close to the finish of last season’s Women’s Soccer League (WSL) in England, is currently continuing her goal scoring exploits this season and is already her team’s leading goal scorer so far in the current campaign.
Meanwhile, the squad which will begin to assemble in France on Monday includes goalkeepers Rebecca Spencer and Sydney Schnider.
The defenders are Chantelle Swaby, Allison Swaby, Taylor Hinds, Deneisha Blackwood, Vyan Simpson and Maliah Atkins.
The midfielders include Lulu Jarvis, Atlanta Primus, Jade Bailey, Drew Spence, Sade Adamolekun and Reanna Blades.
While the forwards are Natasha Thomas, Paige Bailey-Gayle, Kayla Mckenna, Jody Brown, Shania Hayles, Tiffany Cameron, Davia Richards, and Mikayla Dayes.
Meantime, the local-based members of the Reggae Girls contingent, including head coach Hubert Busby, will leave the island on Sunday for France.
