JTA President says early childhood practitioners continue to face several challenges

President of the Jamaica Teachers Association (JTA) Leighton Johnson said early childhood practitioners continue to face several challenges.

Speaking on day one of the JTA Early Childhood Education Conference in St. James yesterday, Mr. Johnson noted that early childhood practitioners play an integral role in the holistic development of a child.

However, they do not get all the necessary resources, such as adequate funding.

Mr. Johnson assured that through unity the challenges can be remedied.
