Johnson Charles century steers Windies A to victory over Nepal

The West Indies A team, thanks to a sublime unbeaten century by opener Johnson Charles, beat Nepal by 76 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the historic five-match T20 international series in Kirtipur.

Charles, who faced 61 balls, slammed 13 fours and 7 sixes on his way to a top-score of 119, as the West Indies A made 227 for 3 after winning the toss and electing to bat.

He was aided by Andre Fletcher who made 53 off 33 deliveries, including 4 fours and 3 sixes.

Keemo Paul was left not out on 13 after the dismissals of Fabian Allen (19), Alick Athanaze (17). Sagar Dhakal 1-41 and Karan KC 1-54 the successful bowlers for the home team

Nepal in response was bowled out for 151 in 19.2 overs with Lokesh Bam (28 from 29) and Karan KC (28 from 17) the top batsmen.

Hayden Walsh was the top West Indies A bowler with 3 for 28, having removed Binod Bhandari (19), Aarif Sheikh (3) and Gulsan Jha who was caught and bowled for 3.

Spinner Gudakesh Motie offered support with 2 for 28 while there was a wicket each for Mathew Forde, Obed McCoy and Fabian Allen.
