JGRA seeking to hold discussions with Police Commissioner about attacks on gas stations
The Jamaica Gasoline Retailers Association, JGRA, has submitted a letter to the Commissioner of Police, seeking to hold discussions on the spate of robberies at service stations.
In recent times, there has been an increase in robberies at gas stations.
The latest incidents occurred in Knockpatrick and Cross Keys in Manchester, last evening (December 6) and this afternoon (December 7).
Speaking with Irie Fm News today President of the JGRA, Errol Edwards said the incidents are unfortunate and have caused great concern for retailers.
He said the issue must be addressed urgently, especially as the Christmas season approaches.
Meanwhile, Mr. Edwards is calling on businesses, to have measures in place, to ensure they are not targets for robberies.
