Jamaica’s Covid-19 case count has surpassed 140,000.
This as 285 new Covid-19 cases have pushed the tally to 140,203.
Of the new cases, 161 are females and 124 are males.
They range in age from 2 days to 92 years.
The positivity rate is 29.6 per cent.
Meantime, 2 more persons have died from the virus.
The deaths occurred in May last year and April this year.
The deceased are a 95 year old woman from St. Catherine and a 72 year old man from St. Ann.
5 other deaths are under investigation.
138 people are hospitalised with the virus; among them are, 36 moderately ill, 10 severely ill, and 3 critically ill.
191 more recoveries were recorded yesterday.
