A 23-year-old Jamaican man who was wanted for the deaths of a young woman and her infant daughter in California in the United States has been captured after almost three years on the run.

Doujon Griffiths, was wanted since 2021 for the murders of 20-year-old Massania Malcolm and her 1-year-old daughter Jordania, who were also of Jamaican descent.

In an update on the case, the Orange County Sheriff’s office said officers in New Jersey arrested Griffiths after a traffic stop.

He will be extradited to orange county to finally face justice for the September 2021 deaths of Massania and Jordania.

Griffiths also faces a charge of attempted murder for the shooting of Massania’s boyfriend, who is Jordania’s father.

In September of 2021, Massania Malcom and her infant daughter Jordania were found deceased in a vehicle in a parking lot on Lake Ellenor Drive.

Orange County police located the two after Malcom’s boyfriend reported being shot and said the suspect proceeded to drive away with his girlfriend and child in the car.

Investigators identified the suspect as Griffiths, who was 21 at the time.

Malcom’s boyfriend noted that Griffiths was a friend who had been living with the family since he found himself homeless.
