Jamaican man found dead in Mexico
A Jamaican man who travelled to Mexico allegedly with hopes of crossing the border into the United States recently, died in that country.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kamina Johnson Smith made the revelation while responding to questions about illegal migration, during this morning’s Post Cabinet Press Briefing.
In recent times, a number of Jamaicans have been engaging in illegal migration practices, forcing some countries to place certain requirements on travellers from the island.
Mrs. Johnson Smith noted that she was made aware of the death this week.
She noted that the ministry will be working with the family of the deceased to repatriate the body.
