Jamaican High schools awarded by Team Jamaica Bickle
The non-profit organization team Jamaica Bickle last night awarded five Jamaican high schools, U.S $1000 dollars each, for their outstanding performances at the recent Penn Relays in the United States.
Hydel, Edwin Allen , Jamaica College and Kingston College along with Camperdown all won a championship of America relay, with the exception of the Michael Dyke coached Edwin Allen who won two relays, the 4×100 and the 4×800 meters .
$7500 was also awarded to the GC Foster College for physical education and sport while a donation of 1000 dollars was handed over to the Dominic James Foundation.
Olympian Vilma Charlton was also honoured by team Jamaica Bickle……….receiving a citation for her outstanding contribution to sports in Jamaica.
The function was also attended by the United States Ambassador to Jamaica Nickolas Perry .
