Six years after hosting its last major international meet the Jamaica Administrative Athletics Association….Jthree a’s………is bringing back a world class Athletics event on Saturday May 11 at the National Stadium.

Now known as the Jamaica Athletics Invitational, the meet which has been designated a World Athletics Silver continental tour event, will  feature  14 key events for elite athletes from Jamaica, the United Statesa, Canada, Great Britain and Europe. 

Among the events to be contested are the 100 meters, 200, 400, 110 meter hurdles, 400 meter hurdles, discus, high jump and triple jump for men while the events to be contested among the women are 100 meters, 200m, 400m, 100 meter hurdles, 400 meter hurdles and triple jump

Chairman of the local organizing committee….Ludlow Watts….says the event is set to feature some of the best athletes in the world.

The event formerly known as the jamaica international invitational, was last held in 2018 with the 2019 to 2022 editions all being canceled due to a Myriad of reasons ranging from lack of sponsorship to the Covid-19 pandemic.
