Island’s probation officers stage sit-in
Probation officers across the island are protesting in the form of a sit-in.
This as the workers are upset about the pace at which discussions about the public sector compensation restructuring exercise is progressing.
President of the Probation Aftercare Officers’ Staff Association, Kerryann Davis says the group met with the government about the matter twice last year, but there has been no favorable outcome.
She says the workers are upset.
Noting that workers at all 17 offices are participating in the sit-in, Mrs. Davis is urging the government to address the matter.
