Prime Minister Andrew Holness has indicated that the construction of highways will help bring about more opportunities for housing, across the country.

He was speaking at the handing over ceremony for a house under the social housing programme in Devon, Manchester.

Mr Holness said the government is strategically building out the highway network, because there isn’t enough land in urban spaces to accommodate more housing.

He said quicker commute by highway between work and home, would result in more affordable prices for residential land.
