Police have launched a high-level probe into this morning’s quadruple killing in Crawle, in Riversdale, St. Catherine.

The deceased have been identified as: Kerrian Higgins-McGrath, Dorothy Higgins, Dianne Johnson, and a man known only as ‘Kevin’.

Five children who were in the home were not harmed.

Head of the police’s Corporate Communications Unit, Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay says investigators are trying to ascertain the motive for the murders.

She says the gunmen gained access to the dwelling by cutting their way through a grill.

SSP Lindsay notes that investigators are still analyzing the scene to piece together what led to the incident. 

This morning’s incident follows Sunday afternoon’s triple murder in Grants Pen, St. Andrew.

Four men were arrested in relation to that incident.
