Entertainment Minister, Olivia Grange, says the ministry has started procuring experts to assist with the tender process for an insurance scheme for entertainers.

Miss Grange made the announcement at the Rebel Salute launch in Kingston, last evening.

The Minister said she is pleased that the government is inching closer to the implementation of the insurance scheme, as it has been trying to make it happen for some time.

She added that the ministry has hired an actuarial consulting firm to sort out the details of the scheme.

She said, the insurance scheme would be similar to that offered to the country’s athletes.
