Police seized over 1,200 pounds of ganja during a snap operation in Little Park District, St. Elizabeth on Saturday.

Reports are that between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., lawmen carried out an operation in the area.

The lawmen say when they arrived, at a location men ran and escaped in bushes.

Its reported that the ganja which was found at the location was seized and destroyed.

The illicit drug has an estimated street value of $12 million.

No arrest was made in relation to the seizure.
