Four firearms seized in St. James within the last 24 hours
Four firearms were seized in St. James within the last 24 hours.
The weapons were seized in separate security operations.
Three men have been arrested in relation to the seizures.
In the latest incident, this morning, a Glock 9-millimetre pistol was seized in Cambridge.
A man was arrested following the incident.
The other 3 firearms were seized, yesterday.
It’s reported that during a joint police/military operation in Maroon Town, two 9 milli metre Browning pistols were found concealed in motor vehicles.
The weapons were seized, and two men were arrested.
And the other firearm, a Magna Revolver was seized hours earlier in Lilliput.
Under the new Firearms Act, if persons are found guilty of breaches, they could face a minimum prison sentence of 15 years.
