Former Reggae Boyz forward Ricardo Fuller is back at Stoke City

Former Reggae Boyz forward Ricardo Fuller is back at Stoke City after taking up a role as a coach at the Academy.

The 42-year-old returns to Clayton Wood as part of the professional player to coach scheme, which is jointly run by the Premier League, the EFL and Professional Footballers’ Association.

The initiative is aimed at increasing the ethnicity and diversity of coaches in the English game.

Fuller will work across all age groups from under-9’s to under-21’s …….and will lead team and individual coaching sessions.

He will also gain an insight into life within the youth system, including sports science and recruitment.

Fuller, who joined Stoke in 2006, became a fan favourite after scoring 25 goals in 2 seasons , this to help the Potters gain promotion from the English Championship to the Premier League.

He went on to hit the target 24 times in all competitions over the next four seasons, before Stoke was relegated in 2012.

Fuller, a veteran of 72 International caps for the Reggae Boyz, ended his 20 year career that began at Tivoli Gardens in the year 2000, with 134 goals.
