Former captain Jermaine Blackwood dropped from the Jamaica Scorpions squad 

The  woefully  out  of  form  former  West  Indies  Vice-captain  has  been  having  a  disastrous season  with  the  bat……………scoring    total  of  just   88  runs  from  five  matches  with  a  highest  score  of  27.

Leroy Lugg  has  also  been  dropped  along  with  Jeavor  Royal and  last year’s Wolmer’s Grace shield winning captain Justine Beckford  drafted into  the  13  as  well  as  Javaughn Buchanan  and   Andre Mccarthy.

The Scorpions are coming off a seven wicket defeat to the Leeward Islands Hurricanes in their fifth round encounter and are currently languishing in fifth place on 53.4 points…………behind  the Leeward Islands Hurricanes with 81.2 points,  3rd  place   the Windward Island Volcanoes 71.6  Barbados pride 67.2  and  Defending Champions Guyana Harpy Eagles on 66.8 points.

In the  other sixth round games starting  tomorrow,   leaders leeward island Hurricanes meets Barbados pride at the Queens Park Oval, Windward Islands Volcanoes plays the West Indies academy at Coolidge Cricket ground, while Trinidad and Tobago Red force engages the CCC team at the Sir Frank Worrel ground.
